These are the calls and song of an extinct bird, the Kauai 'o'o. These two recordings have calls and song of the bird. They are the most common calls and song of the Kauai 'o'o. The recordings were recorded in Alakai Swamp on the island of Kauai in the Hawaiian islands between June to July 1975. The last bird, a male was last seen in 1985 and it's calls and song were last heard in 1987. Later in 1987, the bird was declared extinct. This picture and recordings are what is left of the species.
